the Philippines, where one hundred ‘musicians’ weaved their way through an ‘audience’ strolling around, each carrying a cassette player playing one of the hundred pre-recorded tracks of various Philippine instruments. In this second re‐staging of Cassettes 100 for 2017, the work returns to the Cultural Center of the Philippines where it was staged in 1971. This re‐staging,
will also make use of new media (MP3 players) in the performance.
